Dainty Crochet Flower Free Pattern

I'm so excited for spring! It really is my favorite season. I love going shopping this time of year because everything from the home decor to the Easter baskets to the apparel is so pretty and springy! My anticipation for springtime has inspired the free crochet flower pattern I'm about to share with you!

  • Size 8 crochet hook
  • Crochet Cotton (For these flowers I used #10)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Coordinating thread
  • Small pearl buttons
  • To make these flowers larger, add chains in multiples of 3 to the foundation chain row.
  • You are welcome to make and sell products from this pattern but please link back to this post. Please do not copy this pattern and claim it as your own. Please do not republish any of my photos as your own.
Chain 66
Row 1: Dc in 9th chain from hook (this counts as base ch3, dc, and ch2), *chain 2, skip 2, dc next* repeat from * to * across. Turn.
Row 2: *Dc 5 in next chain space, sc in next dc* repeat from * to * across. Turn
Row 3: Skip next 2 dc, *5 dc in next stitch, sl st in next sc, sk next 2 dc* repeat from * to * across. Sl st in last dc. Finish off.

Your flower should look something like this at this point:

Arrange this petal spiral into a flower and secure with thread. Attatch the pearl button to the center, sew in any loose ends and admire your handiwork :)

I love little embellishments like these because of their endless possible uses! I have a simply gorgeous project in the works for these little flowers...but I'm not going to tell you what that project is today;) (UPDATE: You can see the spring wreath I made with these flowers here.)

What would you use these little flowers for??
