The Little Sister Quiet Book Summary!

And here's the cover to my Little Sister Quiet Book!

Each of the individual quiet book pages are 9 square inches. I then sewed each of the pages onto 9X11 inch pieces of white felt. Finally, I sewed 2 button holes on the edge of each page and used binder rings to hold it all together. It was a super easy and fast way to turn the pages into an actual book!

Click on the links below to read more about each of the quiet book pages :)

And guess what? I've already started on another quiet book. It's going to be an LDS themed one to keep my little boy entertained at church. Squeal!

The Little Sister Quiet Book: Princess and the Pea

My inner little girl loves fairy tales. Because of that, the Princess and the Pea quiet book page was born :)

I made the bed a pocket to store her!

The Princess is a finger puppet :) I almost stitched her face with her eyes closed, then I remember just in time that she was up all night because of that pesky pea!

All the mattresses are flaps, but there is nothing underneath any off the flaps...except for, of course, the pea under the bottom mattress!

The Little Sister Quiet Book: Counting

I found white and pink polka dot felt at Hobby Lobby and knew it needed to go in this quiet book. That's when I thought up this page!

I used sparkly white felt for the flaps because sparkles make everything cuter :)

The Little Sister Quiet Book: Castle in the Sky

I had to brainstorm a lot before I came up with this page. After I pinned this sandbox quiet book page to my Quiet Book Pinterest Board, I knew I wanted to make a girly girl version of it. I'm very pleased with how it turned out! I love the little details in the cloud and sky I made using beads and specialty DMC floss.

All the sparkling pieces fit inside my giant, sparkling cloud pocket.

The little princesses are, of course, all little finger puppets, which were very fun to put together and embellish. I used sparkly felt for all their dresses. They are all brunette because my little sister is a brunette!

The front door flap lifts up to reveal a darling little princess dress :)

The Little Sister Quiet Book: Under the Sea

When we would go swimming when I was little, I would totally pretend I was a little mermaid just like Ariel. I'd hold my legs as tight as I could together and try to swim just like a mermaid. When the idea of an "under the sea" quiet book page popped into my head, I couldn't resist an Ariel theme!

The purple fish, yellow fish, and little jellyfish are all attached to velcro, so they can be switched around. Also, those little seashells on the bottom are my favoritest ever.

I found my Ariel template here. I made it so she could slide back and forth on the page with the ric rac. I used green sequins to make her tail shiny. She was so much work, but I absolutely love her!

That's Sebastian hiding under a rock:) I know he doesn't look like the cartoon version...but I like him! I used silver sequins for his little eyes.

I was totally humming the songs from Little Mermaid while I was putting this page together! So fun :)

The Little Sister Quiet Book: The Temple

I absolutely had to make an LDS temple page after I saw this quiet book page.

My angel Moroni kind of just ended up being a golden blob, but I still love how this page turned out!

Well, because the temple is where families become forever families, I made the temple a flap which opens to reveal I family picture! I sewed 3 sides of a vinyl rectangle down to insert the wallet sized photo.

"When you come to the temple you will love your family with a deeper love than you have ever felt before. The temple is about families."

The Little Sister Quiet Book: Cupcakes!

This page was inspired by my build a cake page. I'm going to put them side by side in her book, so that the sprinkle shaker for the cake page can also put imaginary sprinkles on this page!

The Little Sister Quiet Book: Build a Cake

I was always terrible at decorating cakes, but I think I did a pretty good job this time! Felt is not the same as frosting and it's much easier to work with in my opinion, but that's not the point. Look at how fun this little cake is!

That's a sprinkle shaker that is sticking to the page with velcro. I filled it with little beads so my sister can pretend to put colorful sprinkles on her cake :)

The diamonds snap off, the 3 tier cake pieces velcro off, and the circles can be unbuttoned off. The candles and frosting are stuck down.

Happy baking!! :D You can find my hand drawn pattern here.

The Little Sister Quiet Book: Minnie and Daisy

My littlest sister Nicole is turning 2 this month! So I decided for her birthday I would make her a quiet book :) Over the next week or so I'll be sharing the pages I've made for her.

She LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So, naturally, she had to have a Minnie and Daisy page! I bounced lots of Mickey Mouse themed quiet book ideas off my sisters, and I'm pretty sure Michelle is the one to be credited for the initial inspiration for this page.

There are a total of 6 interchangeable bows. Some of them are made from felt and others are made from ribbon. I used pictures of Minnie and Daisy that I found off the internet as templates. You can find them here and here

The font I used for this stitching can be found here.
I'm kind of hoping this is her favorite page :)
